Lost my way

Lost my wayI don’t know where to start because I don’t know where I am. Life is not a blissful existence that moves along as if on autopilot.  If it did, my life would be perfect, without having to worry about obstacles, struggles, tragedy, or having to explain my actions to anyone; they would just understand. But, life doesn’t quite work that way, does it? No, life is a struggle where actions cause reactions, words create hard feelings, and attempts at recovery are called selfish. So, what next?

Where’s the Instruction Manual?

lostmywayHave you ever had the feeling that what you were doing was different from what you knew you were supposed to be doing? It could be anything, from the school you were attending, to the job you went to everyday, or it may even be city you were living in. If you have ever felt the direction of your life was going in a different direction than what you believed God had intended for you, you are not alone.

There are many stories in the Bible about this very thing. All you need to do is search the internet and you will find countless stories of people who found themselves on the wrong path in life. Why is this? Why does this problem seem to be as old as time itself? Could it be that this issue is at the heart of what is wrong with society today? Have we traveled so far down the road called ‘My Way’ that we can’t seem to find our way back to ‘His Way’, so we have given up trying? Read more of this post

Lose the Map and Find Your Way

alternate-routeHave you ever been driving down the road, going no where in particular, when out of nowhere you decide to turn left on a street you’ve never been down before, just to see where it goes? Maybe you’ve been out for a walk and for no real reason, you decide to walk in the opposite direction than what you normally  do? We have all had moments in our lives; those radical, way-out, paradigm altering moments, where we have wondered what it would be like to step out of the rut we call ‘daily life’ and do things completely different.
